Local & Community Driven
• Our pita chip line started out of a desire to repurpose imperfect pita bread that was not being used by our co-manu, giving it new life as crunchy, flavorful pita chips instead of letting it go to waste.
• Instead of discarding crumbs from production, we upcycle them to create perfectly seasoned pita chip bits for restaurant partners.
• Our products are Non-GMO, Vegan, and Dairy-Free, made with no artificial additives or preservatives.
• We source premium za’atar and sea salt directly from the Levant, preserving the authenticity and integrity of these Lebanese flavors, while supporting harvesters.
• We source from other Women Owned businesses and local businesses.
• Terranean pita chips are baked from scratch daily in Cleveland, Ohio, supporting local production and job creation.
• We hire locally and inclusively, providing opportunities to an all-women, immigrant team, ensuring economic empowerment and skill-building.
Our Partners & Ingredients Matter
Our Pita Bread
Our Za'atar
Our Sea Salt
Our Oil
Our pita bread is freshly baked in traditional stone ovens, an authentic recipe, creating a thin, double layered loaf like what is enjoyed in the Levant. Provided by our local family owned partner and co-manu, Jasmine Bakery.
Our premium Lebanese Za’atar is sourced from a women co-owned and operated business in Lebanon. It is made with the real za'atar herb, sumac, sesame seeds, and salt! There are no filler or substitute ingredients in our za'atar blend. Our za'atar is hand harvested, sun dried, not subject to any processing.
Our pure Lebanese sea salt is sourced from our Fair Trade supplier supporting workers while ensuring preservation of Salinas. Our natural, unrefined sea salt is sun-dried and collected manually using ancestral methods, not subject to any processing, for a mineral-packed sea salt that contains essential nutrients. The ancient sea salt mines of Anfeh date as far back as 1400 B.C.
100% High Oleic Expeller Pressed, Non GMO Verified Oil sourced from a certified Women Owned business. According to available studies, high oleic sunflower oil is rich in monounsaturated fats, which are considered "healthy" fats, and a good source of Vitamin E. Importantly, our oil is used in moderation, not exposed to any heat, and our pita chips are twice-baked, and not fried
Our Journey
From a childhood love of Za'atar to an all-women production and fulfillment team, servicing our products to over 2,000 doors nationwide

As a Lebanese-American, Tina grew up enjoying authentic Lebanese za’atar and pita chips when visiting her parents’ village in Lebanon. She looked forward to the earthy, herbal, savory and uniquely delicious flavor of freshly baked za’atar manaeesh (flatbread) and pita chips every morning.

Like many other Middle Easterners, her family would fill their suitcases with za’atar every trip back home, for themselves and for friends who couldn’t make it abroad that year. “Our clothing would smell like za’atar for weeks!"

In 2019, Tina noticed local restaurants in Cleveland using za’atar, and an increased interest in its flavor. However, she could not find the same premium, real za’atar she enjoyed growing up at local markets or online.

In 2020, she launched Terranean to share these same memorable flavors and experiences with her community and consumers, starting with the za’atar seasoning shaker, the za’atar olive oil spread, and expanding to her award-winning pita chips.

What started in her Bay Village kitchen, is now a 5,000 sq/ft dedicated facility, 10 member, all-women management and production and fulfillment team, servicing 2,000 doors nationwide and online!
