Bananas Foster with Terranean Cinnamon Pita Chips

Ingredients:

2-3 ripe bananas, sliced

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup dark rum (optional, for flambé)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Terranean Cinnamon Pita Chips, for dipping


Instructions:

  1. Caramelize the Bananas:

    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

    • Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until the sugar melts and the mixture becomes bubbly.

  2. Add the Bananas:

    • Gently fold in the banana slices, coating them in the caramel sauce.

  3. Flambé (Optional):

    • If using rum, carefully add it to the pan and ignite with a long lighter or match, allowing the flames to burn off the alcohol.

    • Once the flames die down, stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Serve:

    • Transfer to a serving dish and pair with Terranean Cinnamon Pita Chips for a perfect bite of warm, caramelized banana and crispy, cinnamon-spiced crunch.
