Terranean Pita Chip Crusted Chicken Nuggets & Fries

Ingredients:
For the Chicken Nuggets:

2 chicken breasts, cut into nugget-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 egg, beaten

1 cup Terranean Zaatar Pita Chips, crushed

For the French Fries:

2-3 russet potatoes, cut into fries

Oil, for frying

Salt, to taste


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Nuggets:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C) if frying.

    • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls – one with flour, one with the beaten egg, and one with the crushed Terranean Zaatar Pita Chips.

    • Coat each chicken piece in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally press into the crushed pita chips to coat thoroughly.

    • Place on a baking sheet if baking or set aside if frying.

  2. Cook the Chicken:

    • Baking: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the nuggets are golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

    • Frying: Fry the nuggets in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and fully cooked. ( internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  3. Make the Fries:

    • Heat the frying oil in a deep fryer or large pot.

    • Fry the potato slices in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-6 minutes per batch.

    • Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the crispy, zesty chicken nuggets alongside the fresh, hot fries.
