Recipe: Halloumi & Za’atar Soda Bread
This is a special, ultra-fast bread that combines gorgeous Mediterranean flavors together. The recipe utilizes halloumi cheese, [za’atar], and nigella seeds. INGREDIENTS

250g flour

200ml milk
-
1⁄2 tsp baking soda

1⁄2 tsp salt

1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tbsp nigella seeds
-
60g Terranean Herbs & Spices za’atar

As much halloumi as you desire
INSTRUCTIONS

In a bowl, create an acid mixture of 200ml milk with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

In a separate bowl, add the salt and baking soda to 250g flour. Mix to combine.

Add the za’atar and nigella seeds to the flour mixture.

Add in as many halloumi cubes as you want to the flour, mixing to combine.

Add the liquid to the flour and combine until you get a dough that sticks together.

Place dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, shaping into a ball.

To your ball of dough, make deep cuts with a knife in an X shape and immediately place in the oven. Bake at 395 Fahrenheit/200 Celsius for 35 minutes.

Serve with olive oil or enjoy on its own!
